    • Most of our clients don’t understand anything about web design or web terminology. Take the time to talk to clients in language they can understand
  • Don’t make promises you can’t keep
    • Keep all promises
    • Reliability is the key to a good relationship
    • Always be on-time to conference calls and client meetings
  • Be helpful – even if there is no immediate profit in it
    • My business is built largely on referrals. Without referrals from clients who received more than they expected, we wouldn’t have the successful business we currently have
  • Throw in something extra
    • Whether’s it’s a coupon for a future discount, additional information about how to use an application we customized for a client … it makes no difference. Clients always enjoy getting something extra that they didn’t have to pay extra for
    • Don’t take clients for granted
  • Be prompt in responding to any client input
    • People value being treated with respect
    • People value promptness on changes to their website
