When “Just” Building A Website Can Become a Problem

New business owners need a great-looking website now more than ever before, but you want to be sure that you get your money’s worth. A professional website is only as good as its traffic and promotion.

Now that you have a website designed, what do you do with it? We have some suggestions for you.

There Are Rules for Promoting Your Website

Once you have a website design, your business will appear on Google searches as well as in other search engines if you follow the rules for website promotion.

First, you need to make sure that you are active on social media for your business. If you haven’t done it already, you need to create social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat–to name a few. Some businesses even make accounts for TikTok videos, depending on what kind of business you have.

You also need to post regularly on your business social media accounts. You also can link your business to your personal social accounts as well. The more you create links for your business, the more customers will click on your website.

Speaking of Clicks …

There are lots of ways that you can promote your business by using blogs, landing pages and other promotional articles. If you belong to a business organization, you may be able to write an article about your business, and link to your company which means that audiences may go and visit your website. The more you can promote your business across multiple pages and platforms, the higher your business appears on search engines.

SEO is important as well. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) means that for each business, there are key words that businesses use as part of their language. For example, if you owned a small movie theater, you may use movies, theaters, refreshments, coming attractions, and movie previews as part of your keywords. People use search engines to look for answers to questions. The more SEO words you use, the higher your business appears in the rankings. There is a trick to ranking high in the listings using SEO keywords, however. You want your text to sound genuine and authentic, because customers get turned off by text that sounds artificial.

See what some of our customers say about us!

  • Working with Mike and North Texas Web Design was a great experience. They were able to create my website with the exact same graphic design and requirements I gave them, and it only took them a couple of days. I appreciate the professionalism and the wiliness to listen to my picky demands. My website looks just the way I envision it. I look forward to continue this relationship for future updates. I’m also happy to give some great references to a couple of my buddies for their websites.

Angela Williams and Your Super Inspector

  • Over the past 30 years of my career I have had the opportunity to work with a number of IT professionals. I have never worked with someone as good as Mike. He is incredibly responsive even for the smallest requests and makes major changes happen at a very fast pace. I am, repeatedly, impressed every time I have an interaction with him. He is so respectful of his clients and understands, especially with someone like me that has limited IT knowledge and capabilities, how to speak my language so that I understand what is going on. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to drastically improve their IT capabilities and web design whether it be a small company or a large one.
